Our international client is experiencing growth and is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their robust Des Moines team. In this role, you will be exposed to genome editing, discovery, and technological advances in the scientific realm. - 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
What you will do:
- Manage molecular screening pipeline to support discovery, characterization, and development of genome editing applications
- Engage in technology development and process improvement studies
- Design experiments, test hypotheses, and collect and analyze data
- Maintain safety compliance by following company policies, protocols, and procedures to ensure a safe lab environment.
- Collaborate with multifunctional teams to share results, insights, and technical expertise
- Conduct experiments and offer technical support with a respectful and positive attitude
- Write summaries and reports for supervisors to communicate findings and progress
What you will need to be successful:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, microbiology, biochemistry, biology, or related discipline
- 0-7 years of experience in a lab setting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with databases or LIMS systems (preferred)
- Strong record-keeping skills to maintain complete, accurate, and timely experimental documentation
