A long-time manufacturer in the Cedar Rapids area is looking to bring on an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead their team. This team is established with an effective maintenance program in place. They are looking for someone with extensive knowledge of preventative maintenance plans within a manufacturing environment. Someone with a strong drive for continuous improvement will immediately impact this organization!
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance across all maintenance activities
- Lead and uncover process improvement initiatives
- Deliver service promptly in line with established plans
- Train and develop all maintenance professionals
- Continuously work towards a safe and positive work environment
- Utilize current technologies and equipment to ensure effectiveness in maintenance plans
- Manage budget, reports, overtime, and inventory requirements
- Lead capital improvement projects as needed
Requirements:
- A technical degree or higher is strongly preferred
- At least 7 years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience leading people/teams is required
- Heavy machinery background preferred
- Very mechanically inclined and knowledge of OSHA guidelines a plus
- Strong understanding of root cause and corrective action methodologies
