The Manufacturing Engineer will work in a roughly 50/50 split between the shop floor and office, supporting production, leading continuous improvement efforts, designing or defining tooling requirements, managing documentation, and assisting with customer communication on build‑to‑print programs. What you will do:
- Develop and refine composite fabrication processes and tooling designs
- Support daily shop‑floor troubleshooting and production needs
- Review drawings and specifications to define manufacturing methods
- Create and maintain work instructions, BOMs, and ERP routings
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean or similar methods
- Participate in customer calls to resolve build‑to‑print questions
What you will need to be successful:
- 5+ years in composites or aerospace manufacturing engineering
- Strong understanding of composite processes, tooling, and production support
- Proficiency with GD&T and technical documentation creation
- Experience with CAD systems such as CATIA, Inventor, or SolidWorks
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar improvement tools
- Strong communication skills for internal and customer interactions
