What you will do:
- Ensure accurate payments are disbursed
- Develop and implement overall market financial growth and profitability targets under the general direction of the business banking leader while maintaining safety and soundness
- Provide leadership and participate in appropriate community/civic activities to enhance the Bank’s presence, image, and reputation in the community, encouraging involvement of officers in key influential community organizations
- Lead by example and communicate with a focus on mission and purpose consistent with the Bank’s core values and vision, developing and maintaining a high level of employee engagement and morale
- Exhibit strong sales skills and personally lead the sales process, growing the bank and actively engaging in the calling process for the development of business, directing and participating in the development of centers of influence for direct and referral sales
- Recommend and implement and/or assist with various projects and other duties related to the development and implementation of effective strategic plans, policies, and procedures
- Work closely with the District Retail Manager in the area of retail branch management
- Create and maintain a sales and referral focus to include the delivery of all products and services to customers, ensuring branch retail sales goals and objectives are achieved
- Monitor market performance and provide input on pricing, target markets, and product mix
- Work closely with the Mortgage Loan Officer to develop a high-quality and profitable consumer and residential real estate loan portfolio, ensuring market sales goals and objectives are achieved
- Work closely with the business banking leader to develop a high-quality and profitable commercial loan portfolio, ensuring market sales goals and objectives are achieved
- Work closely with the marketing officer to define and lead the centralized marketing efforts of the Bank, including building an appropriate plan to meet market initiatives within budget parameters, such as localized direct mail, local sponsorship of events, and representation in community organizations
- Ensure effective day-to-day operation of the market, including compliance with regulations, effective service, and profitable operations within budgetary guidelines
What you will need to be successful:
- Master’s degree or equivalent, or ten to fifteen years of related financial experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experienced leader and financial executive with 10-15 years of executive-level financial and/or banking experience, including proven leadership experience
- Minimum of 5 years of prior management experience
- Experience with budgets and achieving financial results
- Extensive knowledge of credit principles and practices, lending laws, and regulations
- 7-10 years of prior commercial and retail lending experience
- Extensive knowledge of retail banking products and services
- Strong financial and regulatory expertise within the banking industry
- Graduate school of banking preferred
