What you will do:
- Supervise medical billing, coding, and payment posting
- Audit patient treatment codes
- Resolve issues related to medical billing and coding
- Utilize technology, including spreadsheet software
- Refile claims with accurate codes and supporting materials for reimbursements
What you need to be successful:
- High school diploma is required
- Prior experience working in the healthcare industry
- Knowledge of medical codes including CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and modifiers
- Coding Certificate preferred
- Exposure to various insurance programs is ideal
