A well-respected financial institution in the Quad Cities has an urgent need for an experienced mortgage professional to join in a new role as the Mortgage Quality Specialist. As the organization continues to grow in this mortgage environment, there is an increased focus on maintaining quality loans in adherence to federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Accomplished and detailed mortgage professionals with experience throughout the entire process, from pre-funding to post-closing, are encouraged to apply!

What you will do:
- Ensure all loans comply with federal, state, and local regulations
- Engage members of the mortgage operations team in identifying errors
- Assist in developing standards for quality
- Identify improvement opportunities in maintaining standards
- Mitigate risks associated with the origination process
- Perform QA actively during pre-funding through the post-closing process
- Work independently but collaboratively with the compliance department
What you will need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- At least 5 years of mortgage experience in compliance, processing, and/or underwriting
- Experience with mortgage software such as Encompass or Desktop Underwriter is preferred
- Thorough knowledge of FHA, VA, RD, FNMA, and FHLMC
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Analytical thinker with great interpersonal skills
