As a Payroll Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the payroll team, focusing on processing multi-state payroll. What you will do:
- Process multi-state payroll for union and non-union employees, ensuring timely and accurate payroll cycles
- Ensure accuracy with payroll records and timesheets, meticulously verifying data to maintain precision
- Maintain employee records and changes, including the setup and deductions of garnishments, ensuring compliance with regulations
- Manage all federal, state, and local tax reports, ensuring accurate and timely submissions
- Assist with union payroll, including onboarding union employees, maintaining compliance with bargaining agreements, and coordinating union-related audits
- Process W-2 forms at year-end, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations
- Drive process improvement initiatives within the payroll function to enhance efficiency and accuracy
What you will need to be successful:
- Associate degree in business administration/finance/accounting, or related field, preferred
- 2+ years of payroll processing experience, including tax withholding
- Union Payroll experience is helpful
- General knowledge of ADP Workforce Now is advantageous
- Understanding of state and federal tax laws, including wage and overtime requirements.
- Strong skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
- Excellent problem-solving/judgment skills and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize to meet deadlines
