What you will do:
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective action processes for internal and customer-reported non-conformances
- Serve as a key quality liaison with Engineering, Manufacturing, and external customers
- Own the preparation and upkeep of inspection procedures, instruction sheets, and quality documentation per AS9100 and NADCAP standards
- Represent Quality in customer audits, surveys, and regulatory compliance efforts.
- Conduct supplier audits and internal process evaluations
- Train and mentor junior quality staff in best practices, methodologies, and compliance standards
- Maintain oversight of calibration, MRB activity, and process audits
- Review metal history and ensure conformance to aerospace specifications
- Serve as a DQR or act in a similar high-responsibility capacity for aerospace quality compliance
What you will need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
- 7+ years in Quality, with a foundry focus preferred
- DQR certification or demonstrated experience in a Designated Quality Representative role
- Strong background in aerospace quality standards, including ISO9000, AS9100, and NADCAP
- Hands-on experience in magnesium or aluminum sand casting environments
- Expertise in RCCA, SPC, PPAP, fishbone analysis, and other quality tools
- Self-motivated, assertive communicator with a strong presence on the shop floor
- Comfortable with a fast-paced, collaborative, and cross-functional team structure
