What you will do:
- Lead projects in purchasing, including new supplier development, cost reduction, and process improvement
- Apply statistical knowledge to improve manufacturing processes in the supply chain
- Source new and existing products and evaluate supplier capabilities
- Maintain accurate project schedules and communicate issues to management
- Perform cost-based comparative analysis and inventory analysis, managing ERP processes
- Collaborate with product development to ensure adequate supply chain consideration for new products, and manage supplier relationships
- Utilize ERP/MRP systems, Excel, and other data applications
What you will need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, or other related field
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant sourcing experience
- Proven experience in acquiring materials, components, and services for various projects
- Extensive experience collaborating with engineering and supply chain departments to analyze technical requirements, identify appropriate suppliers, and negotiate contracts
- Experience with steel, aluminum, wood, or plastics manufacturing
- Capability to collaborate and engage with suppliers and internal teams across product development, manufacturing, marketing, finance, and other relevant departments
