What you will do:
- Develop and analyze structural designs for buildings and other structures using advanced engineering software and techniques
- Lead and manage structural engineering projects from conception through completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget
- Work closely with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop and implement structural designs that meet client specifications and regulatory requirements
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports for construction projects, utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including seismic and wind load considerations
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to improve the quality and efficiency of structural designs continuously
What you will need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering. A master’s degree is preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) designation is required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD.Pro) and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
- Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
