What you will do:
- Lead structural design for new construction and renovation projects
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams for successful project delivery
- Oversee the preparation of construction drawings, specifications, and technical reports
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior engineers and designers
- Manage structural scope, schedule, and budget, or develop these skills
- Conduct site visits to resolve construction issues and ensure quality control
What will make you successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in structural engineering or a related field from an accredited program
- 5–10 years of structural design experience with steel, concrete, and masonry (wood design experience is a plus)
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Iowa or immediate eligibility to obtain
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage time and prioritize work effectively across multiple projects
- Valid driver’s license and ability to perform on-site work, including climbing ladders and using personal protective equipment
