We are seeking a dynamic Trailer Manager to join our team in Des Moines. In this role, you will lead a dedicated team responsible for managing routes, events, and deliveries. With an established and long-term customer base, you will have the autonomy to drive growth and innovation in the Des Moines market. Work model:
- On-Site
- 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
What you will do:
- Eliminate roadblocks such as material shortages, breakdowns, absenteeism, and training gaps
- Monitor work progress through ERP system
- Maximize trailer uptime and control costs by overseeing and performing trailer system maintenance, including inspections, repairs, and testing to
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers utilizing trailer services
- Drive trailer deliveries, moves, and set-ups
- Hold each direct report accountable to appropriate performance, quality, and safety expectations
- Identify and execute process improvement projects
- Adhere to and enforce safety, ethical, and professional standards and policies
What you need to be successful:
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and the ability to articulate that knowledge
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
- Strong communication skills to communicate with key stakeholders and project leads
- Minor plumbing, mechanical, and electrical knowledge
- Clean driving record
