We are assisting our industry-leading client in their search for an experienced Weld Engineer to join their expanding team. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with welding instructions, monitoring quality levels, and implementing corrective actions to meet strict customer expectations. Qualified candidates will oversee weld repairs, maintain technical welding information, and host special process audits. Candidates with an engineering or welding degree or extensive TIG welding experience are encouraged to apply for this exceptional opportunity.

What you will do:
- Responsible for compliance with all customer and internal welding specifications
- Collaborate with department supervisors on all aspects of quality and corrective actions.
- Assist with training unit employees on product changes and standards
- Research and develop innovative approaches to weld efficiency while improving productivity levels.
- Verify that weld repairs of defects follow customer repair specifications.
- Ensure all welders are tested and certified
- Maintain customer-specific technical welding information.
- Approve customer & regulatory specifications.
- Create and maintain Work instructions
- Verify calibrations for weld equipment
What will make you successful:
- Engineering degree, welding degree, or 10 years of TIG welding in a manufacturing environment
- 5 years minimum experience in industrial welding processes
- Knowledge of metallurgy, NADCAP, Aerospace Inspection, and Weld Repair Techniques preferred
