    What you will do:

    • Complete engineering tasks, investigations, and calculations in alignment with company and industry engineering standards and processes
    • Assist senior engineers with preparing plans, designs, computation methods, reporting, calculations, evaluation, and investigation
    • Hold responsibility for a minimally complex project, with the potential to manage multiple projects
    • Partner with external suppliers and other internal engineering or business support teams as needed
    • Mentor entry-level technicians, designers, or engineers working on the same project
    • Design and integrate circuitry and electrical components in heavy-duty vehicles
    • Give technical support for prototype, pilot, and production builds, including resolving manufacturing issues
    • Perform other duties as needed

    What you will need to be successful:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (electrical engineering preferred)
    • 3+ years of related experience
    • Proficiency with Controls software, programming languages, and Controller Area Network (CAN)/SAE J1939 protocol
    • Proficiency with Energy Storage system and Power Electronics and Machines
    • Automotive High Voltage Training or Certification(s)
    • Experience with vehicle electrification and integration of high-voltage components in a vehicle
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to comprehend simple instructions, understand safety protocols and procedure manuals, interpret technical and scientific journals, and write routine reports
    • Ability to make informed decisions following analysis of information and precedents
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Leadership skills to mentor and review the work of others performing similar work
    • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment

    What you will need to be successful:

    • Communicate effectively and work cross functionally to resolve technical problems including the ability to provide constructive feedback to all levels of the organization
    • Technical Diploma with three (3) years of experience in engineering or equivalent
    • Ability to travel 10%
    • Knowledge of automotive and mechanical terms
    • A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or a Telehandler and AWP operator license.
