    What you will do:

    • Assist with the month-end close by preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and fixed asset schedules
    • Support compliance for income, sales, excise, and use taxes through data preparation, filings, and coordination with external tax partners
    • Help administer cooperative equity processes, including reconciliations, allocations, and recordkeeping
    • Gather and review data to support tax research, credits, and reporting requirements
    • Maintain tax calendars, track escheatment processes, and help respond to federal, state, and local tax notices
    • Prepare tax and equity-related entries and assist with audit documentation
    • Support capital asset and depreciation processes with guidance from senior staff
    • Contribute to process improvements and assist on special projects as assigned

    What you will need to be successful:

    • 3-5+ years of accounting experience
    • Exposure to tax or compliance is strongly preferred
    • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with ERP systems
    • Solid understanding of GAAP
    • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
