    What you will do:

    • Perform engine machining operations, including cylinder boring, honing, decking, and line boring, according to established procedures and specifications
    • Determine necessary repairs or modifications by inspecting, measuring, and evaluating engine components
    • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble engines, ensuring all components are in the proper working order
    • Utilize precision tools and equipment to accurately measure and ensure parts meet performance and quality standards
    • Collaborate with team members
    • Consult with customers and build clientele
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations
    • Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and technologies to continuously improve skills and knowledge

    What you will need to be successful:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in automotive mechanics is preferred
    • Experience working as an engine machinist or mechanic with engine block experience
    • Strong understanding of gas and/or diesel engines is preferred
    • Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and accuracy in all tasks
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

    Training schedule:

    • Train for approximately 3 months to learn the machinist job and gain experience
    • After 6 months, you will earn a commission on your projects in addition to your hourly pay
