Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations at the Jefferson, Iowa facility. This in-person role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing accounting functions, and providing strategic financial insights. What you will do:

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses
• Provide insights to management and corporate finance, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and financial controls
• Compile and analyze new product costs, pricing adjustments, and margin analysis. Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts, monitor budget variances
• Monitor daily business transactions, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate with inventory control and IT teams
• Process weekly payroll, ensure compliance with accounting regulations and internal financial policies
• Recommend procedural and system improvements, lead ad hoc financial projects

What you will need to be successful:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting and finance
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
• Hands-on experience with full-cycle accounting and month-end closing processes
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational abilities
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
