    What you will do:

    • Align the Design Engineering team with organizational goals and manage daily operations
    • Use analytical and critical thinking skills to solve problems and drive cost-effective solutions
    • Complete project assignments within scope, budget, and schedule
    • Generate manufacturing tooling and fixture models and provide technical reviews and recommendations
    • Develop and test prototypes, coordinate fabrication efforts, and lead design collaborations

    What you will need to be successful:

    • Engineering degree (Mechanical preferred) from an accredited university.
    • 8+ years of hands-on design experience, including concept-to-completion and tool/fixture design
    • Leadership experience in managing technical design engineers
    • 1000+ hours using 3D CAD software (e.g., Autodesk Inventor) and familiarity with Machinery’s Handbook
    • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and ability to interpret 2D drawings and solve design challenges

  • Senior Design Specialist – Die & Stamping

    What you will do:

    • Design and develop stamping tooling, including strip layouts, simulations, die construction, and press specifications
    • Manage tooling programs from sourcing to production readiness, including tracking progress and updating timelines
    • Develop and maintain Die and Gage standards, and improve current and new tooling sources
    • Coordinate between tooling suppliers and internal teams, and assist in procurement of production materials
    • Troubleshoot dies, manage tooling maintenance schedules, and use data-driven approaches to minimize costs and downtime
    • Facilitate communication across facilities, oversee new tool builds and repairs, and ensure compliance with standards
    • Provide engineering support for production dies, train floor personnel, and coordinate new machinery and tool deliveries
    • Evaluate product designs for manufacturability, design high-precision stamping dies, fixtures, and gages, and participate in design reviews and cost estimations

    What you will need to be successful:

    • 10+ years of experience in Tool and Die Engineering/Stamping tooling
    • Proficient in CAD, with experience in 2-D (AutoCAD, Solid Edge) and preferably 3-D (Solidworks, Inventor) design packages
    • Strong understanding of ANSI/ISO drawing standards, GD&T dimensioning, and knowledge of Wire EDM/CNC machining technologies
    • Familiarity with tool steels, commonly stamped metals (cold-rolled/stainless steels), and die sensors/vision inspection technology
    • Proven ability to read/interpret GD&T and engineering specifications, estimate stamping die costs, and manage timelines
    • Exceptional analytical skills, multi-tasking abilities, and experience working independently and in team environments
