    As the Manager of Design Engineering, you will lead a small, dedicated team of design engineers. Your primary focus will be enhancing machinery, equipment, and tooling designs to optimize manufacturing processes and ensure the highest cost, quality, safety, and feasibility standards. You will also play a crucial role in project management, equipment and material procurement, and the continuous improvement of engineering practices to drive business growth.     What you will do:

    • Align the Design Engineering team with organizational goals and manage daily operations
    • Use analytical and critical thinking skills to solve problems and drive cost-effective solutions
    • Complete project assignments within scope, budget, and schedule
    • Generate manufacturing tooling and fixture models and provide technical reviews and recommendations
    • Develop and test prototypes, coordinate fabrication efforts, and lead design collaborations

    What you will need to be successful:

    • Engineering degree (Mechanical preferred) from an accredited university.
    • 8+ years of hands-on design experience, including concept-to-completion and tool/fixture design
    • Leadership experience in managing technical design engineers
    • 1000+ hours using 3D CAD software (e.g., Autodesk Inventor) and familiarity with Machinery’s Handbook
    • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and ability to interpret 2D drawings and solve design challenges
