  • Manufacturing Process Engineer

A long-established manufacturer of livestock equipment is hiring a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to drive process improvements and support production efficiency at their facility near Marshalltown, Iowa. With over 100 years of industry success and the backing of a private equity firm, the company offers long-term stability alongside modern investments in automation, tooling, and lean manufacturing. Known for durable, U.S.-made agricultural products, they serve farms and ranches across North America. This is a highly visible, hands-on role ideal for engineers who enjoy being on the floor, collaborating with operators, and seeing their ideas quickly implemented in a close-knit, down-to-earth team. In addition to a flexible schedule with no nights or weekends, the company offers standout benefits – including low-cost health insurance, strong 401(k) match, and generous PTO – making it a rare mix of competitive compensation and quality of life. Apply now to be considered!

    What you will do:

    • Optimize manufacturing processes and lead on-the-floor troubleshooting initiatives
    • Design, develop, and maintain jigs, fixtures, and mold tooling
    • Support automation and robotics projects (experience is a plus, but not required)
    • Collaborate closely with production, materials, and quality teams to drive improvements
    • Split time between hands-on shop support and office-based engineering tasks

What you will need to be successful:

    • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing engineering experience, or a mix of strong internship/co-op experience
    • Experience in tooling and fixture design, with a focus on continuous improvement, is preferred
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar 3D modeling software
