We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our client’s team. This individual will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting on our company’s operational costs, including manufacturing, labor, and overhead. The role is crucial in ensuring accurate financial data and providing valuable insights for effective cost management and strategic decision-making. - 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
What you will do:
- Establish and document estimated completion costs by collecting and analyzing operational data
- Collaborate with material and operations teams to audit inventory processes, including costing, equivalent units, transaction trials, cycle counts, customer-furnished material, and obsolete/excess material
- Train and guide production staff on inventory-related activities to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Generate regular margin analysis reports, comparing actual costs to bid estimates, and provide insights to facility staff
What you will need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years of experience
