We are partnering with a local client in the search for an Automation Maintenance Technician. The Automation Maintenance Technician will have a strong working knowledge of various automation systems and components, including motors, controls, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems. The role requires demonstrating strong safety leadership skills and following safe work practices. Work model:
- On-Site
- 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Monday – Friday
What you will do:
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), hardware, and associated programming languages
- Implement computer/device networking utilizing standard protocols
- Exhibit excellent safety leadership skills and adhere to work practices
- Coordinate with team members on planning and conducting equipment repairs
- Perform routine audits and equipment inspections
- Maintain open and professional communication with operations
- Respond to unplanned or emergency work requests quickly and effectively
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and good manufacturing practices
What you will need to be successful:
- High school diploma/GED and completion of a formal trades training program or equivalent education and maintenance experience
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience with an emphasis on controls and instrumentation
- Strong knowledge of automation systems and components
- Experience with various automation platforms
- Ability to work independently
