    Location:

    • The preferred location would be based out of Omaha, Nebraska but could also be based out of other locations in West Virginia, North Carolina, Massachusetts, Texas, Alabama, Wisconsin, or Oregon

    What you will do:

    • Design fluid blending, storage, and handling systems
    • Manage projects supporting company expansion and cost reduction
    • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and increase productivity
    • Improve plant equipment and instrumentation
    • Select and configure components for fluid handling and measurement
    • Design piping and select pumps for various liquids
    • Develop layouts for production equipment
    • Manage capital projects, controlling scope, schedule, and budget
    • Estimate engineering time, material, labor costs, and implementation schedules
    • Participate in project implementation and ensure systems meet specifications
    • Provide engineering advice to operations and management
    • Maintain engineering documentation and standards
    • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts

    What you will need to be successful:

    • Experience in fluid handling design
    • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering preferred
    • Experience managing capital projects
    • Experience with equipment vendors and contractors
    • Proficiency in 3D CAD applications (AutoCAD & Revit preferred)
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Ability to analyze data for process improvements
    • Engineer In Training (EIT) certification would be beneficial

    What you will do:

    • Contribute to the design of projects in various markets, starting with Public Infrastructure
    • Prepare CAD drawings, reports, construction cost opinions, and technical specifications
    • Design a variety of types, including:
      • Roadway, trail, and parking lot design
      • Site grading
      • Storm water management
    • Design construction phasing, traffic control, and other site design components
    • Assist in onsite construction administration and observation
    • Ensure contractor compliance with contract documents
    • Learn how designs are constructed through onsite involvement

    What you will need to be successful:

    • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university
    • 0-3 years of experience as an early career Engineer Intern or recent graduate
    • Successful completion of FE exam and EIT designation with plans to obtain a PE license
    • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work, managing multiple projects and deadlines
    • Willingness to work occasional overtime hours
    • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
    • Ability to work on elevated platforms and open grating, climb ladders, and wear personal safety equipment
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a commitment to excellent client service
    • Practical experience with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and OpenRoads Designer software preferred
    • Previous internships or summer experiences in civil engineering or construction preferred
