What you will do:
- Develop cost analyses and secure necessary approvals for capital investments and process enhancement initiatives
- Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of projects that deliver measurable improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency
- Collaborate closely with department managers to champion continuous improvement efforts across operations
- Apply data-driven insights and root cause analysis to identify performance gaps and implement lasting solutions
- Promote a cooperative and inclusive team culture within a unionized environment
- Serve as a technical advisor to enhance outcomes in safety, quality, productivity, and workplace organization
- Work in partnership with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and standardization of new equipment and tooling
What you will need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or demonstrated experience in PLC programming; equivalent experience will be considered
- Proven track record of leading technical projects with clear timelines, budget oversight, and cross-functional collaboration
- Familiarity with ISO standards and methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis
- Skilled in using precision measuring tools, interpreting blueprints, and understanding general manufacturing workflows
