What you will do:

• Lead and manage the accounting operations of the company
• Implement and oversee internal controls and accounting policies
• Manage and process company-wide commissions
• Prepare timely and accurate internal and external financial statements in compliance with GAAP
• Collaborate with the executive team to develop financial performance metrics
• Oversee regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance with state and federal tax laws
• Support the CFO in the preparation and ongoing management of the annual budget
• Prepare periodic variance reports and investigate discrepancies

What you will need to be successful:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 5-7 years of accounting experience
• CPA certification and SaaS experience preferred
• Significant experience in preparing consolidated financial statements and budgets, as well as managing the general ledger
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to compile data, assess information, and provide sound recommendations
• Skilled in identifying complex problems and formulating effective solutions
• Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks, spreadsheets, and online financial tools
• General knowledge of Salesforce is beneficial

What you will do:

• Use various online and internal title plant programs to review Iowa county records
• Create new files for incoming orders and ensure accurate order entry
• Perform basic tasks such as scanning, uploading files, and typing
• Learn and assist with the title examination process, including:
  • Understanding abstracts and chains of title
  • Analyzing how liens and encumbrances impact title
  • Applying the rules for creating Iowa-specific abstracting products
• Data entry and documentation:
  • Enter new orders and maintain accurate records
  • Prepare and review Iowa Title Guaranty’s and Certificates
  • Generate search product reports such as 900/901s and Reports of Liens
• Customer service:
  • Handle incoming orders over the phone
  • Address customer inquiries about order status, revisions, and other needs
  • Communicate with clients to gather information necessary for real estate transactions

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-2 years experience working in a real estate law firm in a support capacity

What you will need to be successful:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 4 years of related work experience

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex topics in an easily understandable way
