What you will do:
- Create CNC programs for milling, drilling, and turning operations on high-precision parts
- Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Choose tooling, speeds, and feeds appropriate for aluminum and magnesium materials
- Validate programs through simulation and first-piece inspection; make adjustments as needed
- Work with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot programming or machining problems
- Maintain documentation of programs and revisions per industry and certification standards
- Support machine setup and assist with troubleshooting when required
- Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for machining processes and cycle time reduction
What you will need to be successful:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or CNC coursework preferred
- 3+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment
- Prior work experience with aluminum and/or magnesium component machining is preferred
