This role supports the design and execution of commercial and industrial design-build projects, with an emphasis on HVAC and mechanical systems. Working closely with engineering leadership and project teams, the Mechanical Engineer contributes to technical design, coordination across disciplines, and value-conscious solutions that support constructability and project delivery. What You Will Do:

  • Design and coordinate HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial and industrial projects
  • Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and supporting documentation
  • Collaborate with internal engineers, project managers, and trade partners
  • Participate in project coordination meetings and contribute technical input
  • Support value engineering efforts to align designs with project budgets
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and deadlines
  • Review and apply applicable mechanical and plumbing codes and standards
  • Provide technical support to construction and project teams as needed
  • Utilize 2D and 3D design tools to support modeling and coordination

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related discipline
  • Approximately 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in construction-focused environments
  • Professional Engineer license strongly preferred; EIT considered with path to licensure
  • Experience with HVAC and plumbing system design
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and familiarity with Revit or similar tools
  • Understanding of applicable mechanical, plumbing, and energy codes
