The Accounting Consultant – Accounts Payable role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to support a fast-paced accounting team in a long-term contract position. This position focuses on ensuring accurate invoice processing, timely vendor payments, and strong financial recordkeeping, while partnering with multiple departments to resolve issues and maintain efficient operations. The ideal candidate will bring accounts payable expertise, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with ERP systems in a collaborative environment. Work Model:

  • On-Site
  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday

What You Will Do:

  • Support month-end close activities, including accruals and account reconciliations. Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries
  • Maintain vendor records and ensure documentation is complete and accurate
  • Prepare and process payment runs
  • Provide documentation and support during internal and external audits
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Receiving, and Finance teams to ensure efficient invoice processing. Follow established accounting procedures, internal controls, and company policies
  • Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • 3+ years of accounts payable, accounting, or related experience
  • Communicate effectively and demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
  • Experience working with SAP or a similar ERP system
  • Strong organizational skills while managing multiple priorities
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial, or high-volume invoice processing environment
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and Outlook proficiently
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Familiarity with purchase orders, cost centers, and general ledger coding
  • Maintain a proactive approach to resolving issues and improving processes
