Our client, a respected and growing mechanical contracting firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to lead industrial and commercial projects. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all phases of project execution, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to established quality standards. What You Will Do:

  • Direct the planning and execution of industrial and commercial projects to achieve safety, quality, schedule, and profitability targets
  • Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with clients, owners, architects, engineers, and general contractors to drive repeat business and long-term partnerships
  • Champion business development efforts by prospecting new clients and promoting the company’s full portfolio of services and capabilities
  • Oversee project financial performance, including budgets, estimates, change orders, forecasts, and Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting
  • Coordinate all contractual and administrative functions, including submittals, buyouts, subcontracting, purchasing, and project turnover requirements
  • Lead and mentor project management and field leadership teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional growth
  • Partner with field supervision and design teams to organize work plans, develop integrated schedules, and support design-build initiatives
  • Evaluate contract documents, drawings, fabrication packages, and specifications to ensure accuracy, constructability, and compliance
  • Monitor labor, material, equipment costs, billings, and vendor invoicing to maintain financial control and cash flow
  • Enforce safety, quality, and compliance standards throughout project execution and closeout activities

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • A degree in construction management, construction, or mechanical engineering preferred, and/or completion of a qualified mechanical apprenticeship program
  • 10+ years of experience in the mechanical contracting industry preferred, but not required
  • High level of self-motivation, accountability, professionalism, and ethical judgment
  • Proven success managing large, complex mechanical construction projects with a strong profitability track record
  • Working knowledge of blueprint interpretation, technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents
  • Solid understanding of labor work rules and Collective Bargaining Agreements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively engage clients, partners, and internal teams
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking skills in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
  • Advanced critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • Intermediate computer proficiency (Microsoft Word and Excel) with the ability to adapt quickly to new technology
