Are you looking for a new role? Our client is searching for a Quality Engineer to play a dual role supporting both in-field issue resolution and proactive quality planning for customer-facing projects. This position connects real-world product performance to engineering and manufacturing improvements by leading warranty investigations, identifying recurring risks, and driving corrective actions. Roughly one-quarter of the role focuses on project-level quality support, while the remainder centers on troubleshooting, analysis, and continuous improvement related to warranty activity. The role requires regular customer interaction, field diagnostics, and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen product reliability and prevent repeat failures. Apply today!

Work Model:

  • On-Site

What You Will Do:

  • Manage warranty claims from intake through root cause analysis and closure
  • Investigate field failures, including teardown inspections and data-driven analysis
  • Identify trends and systemic issues using warranty and performance data
  • Lead containment and corrective actions across internal teams and external partners
  • Validate the effectiveness of corrective actions and prevent recurrence
  • Support project teams by developing quality plans and critical-to-quality requirements
  • Conduct risk assessments using historical failure data to guide project execution
  • Troubleshoot products onsite and perform light mechanical repairs as needed
  • Partner with engineering and manufacturing to implement design and process improvements
  • Act as a technical point of contact for customers, field service, and sales teams
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to track quality and warranty metrics
  • Travel to customer sites, primarily domestic, to support investigations and resolution efforts

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in quality, warranty, or failure analysis roles
  • Strong background in root cause investigation and structured problem-solving methods (8D, A3, CAPA)
  • Experience with PFMEA, DFMEA, control plans, and quality systems
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems, fabrication, and weldments
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Minitab or Power BI is preferred
  • Customer-facing mindset with the ability to build trust and navigate field situations effectively
  • Organized, proactive, and comfortable balancing project and reactive work streams
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% and work in field environments as needed
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification preferred

Benefits Overview:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401k
  • PTO
  • Paid holidays
  • Parental leave
  • EAP
  • Other voluntary options
