As a Field Contents Cleaning Technician, you'll play a vital role in restoring homes and businesses after damage to personal property. Your hands-on work will directly impact clients’ lives, providing essential cleaning services with professionalism and care. What you will do:

  • Travel across the Midwest (typically 4–6 hours from Des Moines) to inventory, organize, and clean personal property at homes and commercial sites following fire or water damage
  • Work in teams of two to methodically complete restoration projects, ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to customer timelines
  • Communicate with Project Coordinators, Claims Specialists, and Schedulers to clarify scope, report progress, and ensure smooth project execution
  • Support customers with empathy and professionalism following catastrophic events, obtaining completion signatures, and ensuring satisfaction at the end of each job
  • Assist with facility-based cleaning and team responsibilities when not traveling or when the department lead is absent

What you will need to be successful:

  • Ability and willingness to travel Monday–Friday, often with overnight stays, and work effectively in small teams
  • Strong communication skills and the emotional intelligence to support customers who have recently experienced property loss
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; the ability to drive a company cargo van after the initial training period
  • Experience in cleaning, restoration, or team leadership is helpful, but long-term work history in any hands-on or management role is valued.
