Safety Specialist

Our client is looking for a Safety Specialist to join their team. As a Safety Specialist, you will be the primary champion for Safety & Health across the organization. Your mission: identify risks, develop smart solutions, and drive compliance with Local, State, and Federal Safety & Health and DOT regulations. Work model:

• On-Site
• Travel up to 50% to multiple sites

What you will do:

• Serve as the primary contact for Safety & Health and DOT compliance
• Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training
• Conduct audits, inspections, and incident investigations
• Manage safety documentation, reporting, and corrective actions
• Support occupational health programs (respiratory, noise, chemical exposure)
• Oversee workers’ compensation, liability, and property claim activities

What you will need to be successful:

• Bachelor’s in Safety and 3–5 years of experience
  OR Associate/Technical degree and 5–8 years of experience

• Strong knowledge of Safety & Health and DOT regulations
• Skilled communicator who can partner with teams at all levels
• Ability to travel up to 50% and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
