As a Layout Supervisor, you’ll work on critical aerospace components for military helicopters, leveraging cutting-edge technologies like 3D sand printing and PolyScan 3D scanning. What you will do:

  • Schedule and coordinate fixture, straightening, machine shop, and layout operations
  • Ensure adherence to inspection, safety, and quality standards
  • Develop and maintain work instructions; submit revisions to Quality Control
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on first article inspection and predevelopment parts.
  • Oversee completion of internal and external documentation (e.g., AS9102 forms, inspection reports)
  • Train and evaluate employees; maintain accurate training records
  • Manage equipment maintenance and calibration schedules; liaise with external suppliers
  • Direct quality assurance and control functions to optimize quality and cost
  • Obtain necessary certifications and stamps for layout and inspection operations
  • Maintain tool crib and calibration schedules
  • Utilize Polyworks and other metrology tools for layout and inspection processes

What you will need to be successful:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of metrology experience with strong technical skills
  • Proficiency in Polyworks, Excel, and metrology tools (snap calipers, micrometers)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating across departments
  • Familiarity with AS9100, ISO9001, and NADCAP standards preferred
