Project Manager/Estimator

We are searching for a talented Project Manager/Estimator to join our client's team in Des Moines. This individual will supervise commercial and residential glazing projects from start to finish. Strong candidates will have experience calculating project costs, coordinating schedules, and successfully delivering construction projects on time. A degree in construction management or engineering, knowledge of building codes, and proficiency in AutoCAD are strongly preferred. What you will do:

• Create estimates for commercial and residential projects by collaborating with subcontractors, vendors, general contractors, engineers & clients
• Prepare proposals, including a breakdown of materials, labor, and other expenses
• Deliver projects within scope and schedule through efficient management of budgets and timelines
• Collaborate with the scheduler to determine upcoming projects, labor needs, and potential delays
• Complete site visits regularly to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure safety compliance
• Provide updates and resolve concerns for clients, stakeholders, and team members
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and close-out documentation
• Create shop drawings and submittals accurately for architectural review

What you will need to be successful:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
• Prior experience in estimating and project management within construction
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to prioritize and complete projects before established deadlines
• Knowledge of building codes, blueprints, and specifications
• AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite skills
• Driver's license and ability to travel to project sites when necessary
