Our client is seeking a Wastewater Engineer to lead the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role combines technical design, project leadership, client engagement, and mentorship responsibilities. What You Will Do:

  • Lead planning, evaluation, and design of water and wastewater systems (pipelines, pump stations, treatment facilities)
  • Develop master plans, technical reports, specifications, and construction drawings
  • Advance projects from concept through bid-ready documentation
  • Coordinate and facilitate internal and client-facing project meetings and workshops
  • Oversee permitting efforts and maintain communication with regulatory agencies
  • Support construction-phase services, including review and coordination
  • Define project scope, schedule, and budgets in partnership with project management
  • Build and maintain client relationships; contribute to business development efforts
  • Mentor junior engineers and support cross-functional collaboration
  • Ensure quality, accuracy, and clarity in technical documentation

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license, with the ability to obtain licensure in additional states
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year of project leadership
  • Experience preparing detailed plans and specifications for water and wastewater systems
  • Strong understanding of multi-disciplinary infrastructure project delivery
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in technical writing, organization, and time management
  • Ability and interest in mentoring junior staff and continuing professional development
