Work Model:

  • Primarily on-site to support collaboration, training, and client interaction
  • Hybrid flexibility is available after initial onboarding and demonstrated performance
  • Day-to-day flexibility for appointments and personal commitments

What You Will Do:

  • Create and review multi-state and federal income tax returns (Forms 1120, 1120S, 1040, and 1065)
  • Act as the accountant-in-charge regarding financial statement engagements, guaranteeing timeliness, compliance, and accuracy
  • Coordinate and direct audit and financial reporting projects
  • Review work prepared by staff and ensure quality and accuracy
  • Identify tax planning opportunities and provide recommendations
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships
  • Train, mentor, and supervise staff; support their professional development
  • Contribute to process improvements and internal training initiatives
  • Stay current on tax laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Manage multiple engagements while maintaining high-quality standards

What You’ll Need to Be Successful:

  • CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) required
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field
  • Experience with Iowa income tax law
  • Strong background in preparing and reviewing complex tax returns
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organization and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Positive, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to client service
  • Valid driver’s license
