Join Our Team as a Risk Portfolio Manager – Lead the Future of Insurance Portfolio Analysis! Are you a seasoned finance professional with a passion for complex loan underwriting and risk management within the insurance industry? We are seeking a dynamic Portfolio Risk Review Manager to oversee critical review processes for insurance company portfolios, with a primary focus on commercial real estate and multifamily loans. By combining your analytical expertise and leadership skills, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the organization's risk strategies and ensuring portfolio integrity–all from the comfort of your remote workspace!

  • Must reside within Iowa, Minnesota, Washington, Oregon, Montana, or Colorado

What You Will Do:

  • Lead a remote team conducting comprehensive evaluations of loan documentation and collateral
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies
  • Apply expertise in insurance-specific underwriting valuation methodologies and risk assessment frameworks
  • Monitor and manage portfolio risks effectively
  • Oversee Lead and Senior Analysts, providing guidance and strategic direction
  • Maintain high standards of review quality
  • Analyze insurance company structures, reinsurance arrangements, and risk-based capital frameworks
  • Support informed decision-making to strengthen financial stability and growth

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • Extensive experience in commercial real estate and multifamily lending within the insurance industry
  • 7 plus years in insurance, loan underwriting, financial analysis, and documentation standards
  • Strong knowledge of insurance reporting, including CREF C and risk management frameworks
  • Proven leadership managing remote teams and complex projects in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting strategy and performance to stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience with insurance, loan structuring, lien perfection, and valuation practices
