We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our client's team and support day-to-day payroll administration activities. This entry-level opportunity offers comprehensive training and hands-on exposure to payroll processes, compliance, reporting, employee data administration, and business operations. The successful candidate will work closely with internal departments to ensure employee records and payroll information remain accurate and up to date while developing valuable payroll and HR expertise. What You Will Do:

  • Manage and maintain employee records within payroll and HR systems
  • Support employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, employment changes, compensation updates, and offboarding
  • Audit and validate payroll-related data, researching and resolving discrepancies as needed
  • Serve as a resource for employees and managers by addressing payroll and employee data inquiries
  • Assist with payroll audits, reporting requirements, and records management processes
  • Prepare recurring reports and provide data support for operational and compliance needs
  • Handle sensitive employee information with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure payroll information is processed accurately and on schedule
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to special projects
  • Provide general payroll and administrative support and perform additional duties as assigned

Will Need to Be Successful:

  • Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent education and experience in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • Previous administrative, customer service, office support, accounting, banking, HR, or payroll experience preferred but not required
  • Recent graduates and candidates interested in building a career in payroll are encouraged to apply
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with payroll, HRIS, or other business systems is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and time-management skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Customer-service mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
