As Senior Cloud Security Engineer you will focus on driving down a growing backlog of security needs across the engineering org — partnering with application delivery teams to identify, prioritize, and remediate security issues in cloud and application environments. This role owns cloud infrastructure, CI/CD patterns and tooling, and SRE practices — providing security domain expertise and driving adoption of standardized, secure patterns across the business. What You'll Do:

  • Work through a broad backlog of security items across the organization, helping teams understand, prioritize, and fix issues
  • Identify and remediate secrets and credentials committed to codebases, and help teams adopt secure secrets management practices
  • Drive down patching backlogs across infrastructure and applications, coordinating with teams to close vulnerabilities
  • Partner directly with application delivery teams to influence architecture decisions and secure-by-default AWS practices
  • Design and evangelize secure CI/CD patterns and help drive their adoption across the organization
  • Support complex applications through daily troubleshooting of security-related issues
  • Solve complex problems spanning infrastructure security and application development

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • Full-stack development background with the ability to bridge infrastructure and application engineering
  • Strong experience with AWS cloud architecture and security best practices
  • Proficiency with Terraform
  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD patterns, including security scanning and gating
  • Experience with secrets management and remediation (e.g., detecting/removing secrets in code)
  • Familiarity with vulnerability management and patching processes at scale
  • Familiarity with serverless architecture
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Docker Compose
  • Proficiency in Python
