The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems in a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on maximizing equipment uptime, supporting preventive maintenance efforts, responding to operational issues, and ensuring machinery operates safely and efficiently. What You Will Do:

  • Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment and machinery
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to reduce downtime
  • Address equipment breakdowns and production interruptions promptly
  • Help maintain building systems, including lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and other facility equipment
  • Ensure equipment operates safely and take unsafe machinery out of service until repairs are completed
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance parts and critical repair components
  • Arrange maintenance activities with equipment vendors and service providers as needed
  • Collaborate with production personnel to identify and implement equipment performance improvements

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment preferred
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to diagnose equipment issues and complete repairs with limited supervision
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with operations teams
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing, prolonged standing, and working in varying environmental conditions
