Are you passionate about fostering innovative research and supporting groundbreaking discoveries? Our client is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Grants Manager – Research Development to play a pivotal role in advancing our client’s organization’s externally funded research portfolio. In this hands-on, faculty-facing position, you’ll manage the full lifecycle of research grants and sponsored programs, bridging the gap between principal investigators, sponsors, and institutional resources. If you thrive in a collaborative environment, excel at navigating complex compliance landscapes, and have a knack for developing strategic proposals, this opportunity is perfect for you! 

What You Will Do:

  • Proven experience in grant administration, research support, or related fields (3-5 years)
  • Strong understanding of federal funding regulations, including Uniform Guidance
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Financial acumen related to grant budgets, forecasting, and expenditure tracking
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of research proposal development, submission systems (e.g., Cayuse), and contract negotiations

What You Will Need To Be Successful:

  • Certified Research Administrator (CRA) or willingness to obtain certification
  • Experience with subrecipient monitoring and reporting
  • Familiarity with internal research funding programs
  • Prior experience supporting proposal development at the academic or industry level
  • Ability to interpret and advise on federal financial regulations
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) preferred
  • Demonstrated progressive experience in research administration or similar roles
  • Background in managing complex research projects and budgets
  • Ability to support faculty onboarding and provide ongoing training in research administration systems
