Bridge Engineer

An established, multidisciplinary design firm is seeking a Bridge Engineer to support and lead transportation structure projects across a diverse portfolio. What You Will Do:

• Lead design and analysis for bridge and structural infrastructure projects
• Develop plans for bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and related structures
• Collaborate with multi-discipline teams on complex civil and transportation projects
• Interface directly with clients and support ongoing project coordination
• Review shop drawings and ensure design accuracy and compliance
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously at varying stages of delivery
• Participate in occasional site visits and field evaluations
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical development efforts

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or related field
• 4+ years of structural engineering experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Iowa or ability to obtain within 12 months
• Experience leading project efforts and interacting with clients
• Proficiency in bridge design tools such as OpenBridge Modeler, OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, or similar
• Familiarity with DOT standards; Iowa DOT experience a plus
• Ability to work both in-office and at project sites as needed
• Valid driver’s license and ability to perform site-related activities (elevated surfaces, PPE use)
