We are seeking a Senior IBM i Platform & Power Systems Engineer to support and modernize mission-critical IBM Power infrastructure and ERP platforms. This role is responsible for the design, administration, automation, security, and high availability of enterprise IBM Power environments while driving initiatives around observability, operational efficiency, and business continuity.

This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys owning infrastructure, solving complex technical challenges, and partnering with both technical and business stakeholders to improve platform reliability and performance.

What You Will Do:

  • Administer IBM Power infrastructure and IBM i AS400 environments, including partitions, HMC, VIOS, and DS Storage
  • Design, implement, and support high availability and disaster recovery using MIMIX or similar solutions
  • Provide senior-level troubleshooting escalation support and ensure reliability of complex infrastructure
  • Automate operations using CL scripting Ansible and infrastructure as code practices
  • Support security compliance, patching performance optimization, and observability AIOps improvements reducing alert fatigue
  • Support mission-critical ERP systems, drive modernization, collaborate with teams, mentor staff, and participate in on-call maintenance and upgrades

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • 4+ years of IBM infrastructure engineering with strong IBM Power Systems and IBM i AS400 administration
  • Hands-on experience with HMC VIOS IBM DS Storage Arrays and MIMIX or similar HA DR solutions
  • Incident management, troubleshooting, and ITIL-based operations in enterprise environments
  • Support of mission-critical ERP platforms with strong stakeholder communication skills
  • Infrastructure automation with Ansible and CL scripting, plus observability and AIOps exposure
  • Knowledge of Fortra tools Alert Console, Compliance Monitor, Exit Point Manager, plus platform security compliance performance tuning, and a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
