What You Will Do:
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for the Physician and Dental programs, analyzing performance data, market trends, and risks to identify growth opportunities and ensure profitability
- Lead, motivate, and oversee program staff, including the VP of Business Development, Dental Sales Manager, and Dental Account Executive, fostering a culture of accountability, ownership, and excellence
- Serve as the main advocate for the programs in senior leadership forums, presenting insights and recommendations to shape organizational direction
- Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, claims, marketing, finance, and business development teams to evaluate and implement strategic initiatives
- Manage risk through effective risk management strategies, aiming to improve loss prevention, enhance profitability, and maximize customer value
- Stay ahead of market trends by analyzing competitive positioning and adjusting underwriting, pricing, or product offerings as needed
- Perform other duties that support the growth and efficiency of our client's professional liability programs
What You Will Need to Be Successful:
- Proven leadership experience in sales, business development, or management within the insurance industry
- 8-10 years of experience in professional liability insurance
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and market insights
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Solid understanding of insurance products, practices, and procedures
- Must acquire a Property and Casualty license within the first four months of employment
- Insurance designations such as CIC, CPCU, or RPLU
- Experience in strategic planning and program management
- Familiarity with market analysis and competitive positioning
- Prior experience working closely with underwriting, actuarial, and claims teams
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; advanced certifications (preferred)
- 8-10 years of leadership experience in insurance sales or business development (preferred)
- 5-7 years of specialized experience in professional liability insurance (preferred)
