Join a well-established manufacturing organization seeking a hands-on Director of Accounting to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and help drive financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and business decision support across the organization. This is a highly visible leadership role partnering closely with the CFO and Finance leadership team, requiring someone who can step in confidently, lead a team, and operate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The organization is looking for a strong operational accounting professional with deep manufacturing and cost accounting expertise who can quickly make an impact ahead of fiscal year-end.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead accounting operations including financial reporting, month-end close, and internal controls
  • Oversee manufacturing accounting functions including cost accounting, inventory, WIP, and standard costing
  • Partner closely with the CFO to support operational and strategic financial decisions
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team
  • Drive process improvements across accounting systems, workflows, and reporting
  • Manage year-end audit coordination and regulatory/tax compliance activities
  • Support ERP, data management, and business performance reporting initiatives

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Leadership within manufacturing environment a plus
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and operational accounting processes
  • Experience with cost accounting, inventory management, and ERP systems
  • Ability to operate with confidence and make decisions quickly
