What You Will Do:

  • Speak with retail customers, builders, and designers to gain an understanding of project needs and guide material selections while providing technical expertise
  • Determine material quantities and project costs using in-house estimators to support accurate and profitable bids
  • Manage, track, and update customer quotes while maintaining consistent communication as project scopes change
  • Manage projects from initial sale through completion, including ordering materials, monitoring lead times, and coordinating installation schedules
  • Coordinate pickups, deliveries, and installation schedules to guarantee smooth project execution
  • Act as the primary client contact, resolving issues proactively and ensuring high customer satisfaction

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • 3 to 5 years of flooring sales experience across retail, commercial, or builder-focused environments
  • Established relationships and a strong network within the local residential or commercial builder community
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with a proven ability to close deals and grow accounts
  • Project management capabilities with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in deadline-driven environments
  • Technical aptitude with experience or ability to learn digital takeoff and estimating software
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy, precision, and minimizing waste, along with knowledge of flooring products, trends, and installation techniques
