Discover an exciting opportunity to lead financial operations in higher education as the Assistant Chief Financial Officer/Controller. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the assessment, billing, and collection processes that generate the majority of the institution's revenue. What You Will Do:

  • Manage and oversee the operations of Student Account Services, including supervision of staff and execution of billing and collection of tuition and fees
  • Ensure the accuracy of student account receivable records and coordinate collections for outstanding balances and loan repayments
  • Oversee the operations of the Cashier's office, including supervision of Cashier staff and compliance with cash handling policies and PCI requirements
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconcile account balances, and assist with annual audit processes
  • Manage billing and collection activities for non-student accounts receivable and coordinate with collection agencies as needed
  • Foster collaboration across campus, supporting system integrations and system enhancements for Banner AR and TouchNet, and serve as system administrator
  • Establish and administer policies for student and non-student accounts receivable, ensuring compliance with institutional, federal, and state regulations, including IRS reporting requirements

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of progressive financial management experience
  • Experience in billing, collections, or accounts receivable management
  • Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with general computer applications
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders across campus
