We are seeking a Process Engineer to support and improve metal casting operations in a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on optimizing production processes, resolving technical issues, improving quality and efficiency, and supporting compliance with customer and quality system requirements. The position works closely with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement and maintain reliable manufacturing performance. What You Will Do:

  • Develop and improve casting and manufacturing processes to enhance quality, yield, and productivity
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective process improvements
  • Analyze process and quality data to reduce scrap and improve operational performance
  • Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and engineering records
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, material utilization, and cost reduction
  • Investigate nonconforming materials, identify root causes, and support corrective actions
  • Evaluate and implement new materials, equipment, and manufacturing methods
  • Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to support daily operations and long-term improvements

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • 2 or 4 year technical degree, or equivalent experience in materials, engineering or metallurgical roles
  • Experience in a foundry, metal casting operation, or industrial manufacturing environment preferred
  • Knowledge of metal casting processes, alloys, and manufacturing methods
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks, casting simulation software, or similar engineering tools
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with quality systems, process control, and corrective action processes
  • Ability to work effectively with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering personnel in a hands-on manufacturing setting
