Collections Specialist

Work Model:

• On-Site
• Start time between 7:00AM – 8:00AM

What You Will Do:

• Contact customers regarding past-due accounts and outstanding balances
• Make approximately 50 outbound calls per day
• Manage a mix of soft collections and more direct collection conversations when necessary
• Investigate and resolve billing issues, payment discrepancies, and account concerns
• Maintain accurate documentation of collection activities and customer interactions
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer questions and account issues
• Provide exceptional customer service while achieving collection goals
• Navigate multiple systems and tools to research accounts and manage activity
• Support additional projects and responsibilities as needed

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 2-4 years of collections, accounts receivable, customer service, or related experience
• Strong phone presence and confidence speaking with customers
• Ability to navigate difficult conversations professionally and effectively
• Motivation to pick up the phone over relying solely on email communication
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to learn new systems and technology quickly
• Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
