Palmer Group is partnering with a well-established organization to identify an experienced Accounts Payable Analyst who will play a key role in safeguarding the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This position supports compliance with regulatory standards and internal control frameworks while collaborating closely with accounts payable, vendor services, and cross‑functional business teams. The ideal candidate will help investigate and resolve system‑related issues, assist with audit activities, and ensure supplier and financial records remain accurate, current, and audit‑ready in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. What You Will Do:

  • Validate and maintain supplier master data using inputs from suppliers, internal teams, business units, and multiple ERP systems, including current and migrated environments
  • Examine data inconsistencies, system exceptions, and discrepancies, sharing findings and resolutions with relevant stakeholders
  • Uphold financial controls, procedural standards, and administrative guidelines while ensuring data accuracy and compliance
  • Coordinate with Accounts Payable on supplier master data setups, updates, and ongoing changes
  • Evaluate W‑9 documentation, perform IRS Taxpayer Identification Number verification, and follow up with suppliers to obtain missing or incomplete tax information
  • Maintain supplier banking details within approved banking platforms, ensuring accuracy and proper verification
  • Contribute to year‑end 1099 processing, reporting, regulatory filings, and remediation of IRS 1099 notices for the U.S. and applicable territories
  • Update ERP records to reflect accurate and current supplier data and correct identified errors
  • Facilitate supplier enrollment into electronic payment methods, including ACH, and manage related communications
  • Oversee daily activity in functional mailboxes and contribute to additional projects and initiatives as assigned

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • 5+ years of related professional experience, preferably within a finance or accounting environment
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Background in supplier or vendor master data maintenance, including accuracy, compliance, and lifecycle management
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with experience using functions such as VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
  • Practical experience working within ERP systems, with Oracle preferred, and exposure to system migrations or ERP transitions
  • Solid understanding of IRS reporting requirements, 1099 processes, regulatory filings, and proper handling of sensitive information
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving capabilities to identify and resolve data issues
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines independently while maintaining consistent follow‑through
  • Comfort navigating multiple systems simultaneously and contributing as a collaborative, adaptable team member
