As a Layout Supervisor, you’ll work on critical aerospace components for military helicopters, leveraging cutting-edge technologies like 3D sand printing and PolyScan 3D scanning. What You Will Do:

  • Coordinate scheduling and workflow across fixture, machine shop, straightening, and layout operations
  • Lead quality assurance and inspection activities to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Partner with Engineering and Quality teams on first article inspections and pre-production development parts
  • Develop, maintain, and update work instructions, submitting revisions through Quality Control
  • Manage completion and accuracy of inspection documentation, including AS9102 forms and reports
  • Train, coach, and assess employees while maintaining current training records
  • Oversee equipment maintenance, calibration programs, and vendor service coordination
  • Maintain tool crib inventory and ensure calibration schedules are up to date
  • Utilize PolyWorks and other metrology systems to support layout and inspection processes
  • Secure and maintain required certifications, approvals, and inspection stamps while driving continuous quality and cost improvements

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of metrology experience with strong technical skills
  • Proficiency in Polyworks, Excel, and metrology tools (snap calipers, micrometers)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating across departments
  • Familiarity with AS9100, ISO9001, and NADCAP standards preferred
